I love my pets! Actually, as any kitty lover would tell you, I am their human, they are not my pets.
SNOWBALL was the first to move in with me in early 1993. He was a handsome long-haired pure white kitty,
a lot like a chinchilla. He was was about 3 years old and was very affectionate to everyone. Shadow was his
son, but he was a "daddy" to all of the other kitties. He would always greet me at the door and his purr was the
loudest I have ever heard. I used to call him my "spokespussy" because he talked so much. Sadly, I lost him on
February 7, 2002.
SHADOW moved in next, when he was 6 weeks old. He was very much his father's son (Snowball), except his
beautiful long fur was black, with three little white spots, at his throat, chest, and lower tummy. He was so handsome.
When he was a baby, he used to follow me all around the apartment, so the name "Shadow" was quite fitting. As an infant,
he looked like a little bear. Like his mother Misty (a tuxedo kitty who lives with my sister), he loved to watch TV.
Sadly, I lost him, my first baby kitten, soon after he turned 11, on June 18, 2004.
MIDNIGHT DEW moved in next, not long after Shadow. He was about the same age as Shadow. He
is a gorgeous long-haired black kitty, whose fur is just a bit shorter than Shadow's was. He has one very tiny
white spot on his lower belly. His fur is also a bit curly, especially on his tummy. Like Snowball,
he talks a lot and has always helped to take care of the other kitties. He is very affectionate and loving, and loves
to snuggle in my arms. It is with heart-wrenching sorrow, that I must say that we lost our beloved Midnight Dew on May
29, 2009.
SQUIRTY OPAL moved in with us next. I adopted him from the humane society in May, 1996 when he was
about 10 - 12 months old. He was a very handsome short-haired pure white kitty. I named him Opal because he was white,
with green eyes, and pink nose and ears. I called him Squirty because he was my smaller white kitty.
He slept on the pillow next to mine and always loved to be in my arms. On so many quiet evenings I curled up in
my swivel rocker watching TV, with Squirty Opal snuggled in my arms. He was very affectionate to everyone and also helped
to take care of the other kitties, like Snowball and Midnight Dew. Sadly, I lost him on September 11, 2002.
MUFFIN was the last one to move in, when she was 6 weeks old. She is a short-haired black and white
"Tuxedo" kitty. She is such a little cutie-puss. The white fur on her chest looks like a fancy collar. Her
tummy is also white, but directly across the middle is a black band of fur that looks like a belt, and it has
a white spot in the middle which looks just like a belt buckle. She is my little lady, so sweet and affectionate. Unfortunately,
soon after she turned 2 years old, she started to have grand mal seizures. When she was a baby, both she and
Snowball were inseparable. Sadly I lost my Muffy Pretty on March 18, 2008.
I have a photo of my five kitties, lying on our queen-size bed. When I showed it to my nephew, I
told him which was each one's favourite spot to sleep. He asked me where I used to sleep. I smiled and said, "in
the middle".
I have an old computer and have no way to download photos of my babies. Hopefully, some day, I will be able
to share some photos with you.
